As part of their corporate philanthropy, Sierra Leone’s leading Mobile Telecommunication Operator Africell, has on Wednesday 6th September 2023, handed over one TVS motorbike to Julian Jonah a civil engineer and SUZUKI Preso Car to Alusine Jalloh a driver in the ongoing ‘’Africell Mega Promo’’ monthly draw.
The presentation ceremony took place at the Africell Sierra Leone headquarters on Wilberforce in Freetown.
Speaking during the handing over ceremony, the Sponsorship and Sales Manager at Africell, Nancy L. Joseph Turay said that as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), they are giving back to their wonderful subscribers, through different ways one of them doing promotions for its subscribers adding that promotions is not new to them as company thus making way to give back to their customers.
She said that to stand a chance for the draw , subscribers must top up ten Leones (10NLE) every day in order to stand a chance of winning adding that the draw will be from Monday-Saturday on AYV TV, Afri-Radio, and on all communities radio stations and on Facebook live.
Madam Nancy L. Joseph Turay added that subscribers stand a chance on a daily basis each day they meet the requirement for the draw stating that chances are not carry forward.
In his brief statement, the Marketing and Communications Manager John Konteh said that in the coming months ten winners will wins two hundred fifty new Leones every day, adding that all the ten winners will automatically qualify for the grand draw after one month.
He said that since they started the promo in August they have presented five motorbikes to five winners from across the country, adding that every day they will announce ten winners revealing that the mega promo will continue until January 2024.
Presenting the prizes, the Chief Corporate Affairs Manager Joe Abass Bangura started by congratulating the two lucky winners, stating that the promotion started in July and will continue till January 2024 thus encouraging subscribers to top-up in order to stand a chance to win the daily draw and the mega promotion.
He said that so far three hundred and sixteen people have won since they started the promo, adding that three hundred of them have won cash prizes, ten during the week, with others winning five motorcycles and the grand prize.
One the winners of the grand prize, Alusine Jalloh a driver said that before now he was in doubt of the promotion thus stating that his winning have finally cleared his doubt.
Alusine however encouraging others Africell subscribers in the country to continue to subscribe as he believed that they will also be a winner one day like him.
