NSA Applauds Cricket Sierra Leone for Biggest Infrastructural Project, Calls on Others to Follow Suit

The National Sports Authority (NSA) has rained compliments on Cricket Sierra Leone for embarking on its biggest infrastructural project that will witness the construction of a state-of-the-art cricket complex at Havelock, Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.

The project was launched early on Friday, 14th June, 2024 at the Havelock project site where the Deputy Executive Director of NSA, Dr. Abdul Rahman Swaray, joined like-minded individuals and entities to grace the day.

Speaking during the turning of the sod, Dr. Swaray commended the Board of Directors of Cricket Sierra Leone for embarking on a project that will deliver success.

“The NSA is very much pleased with the leadership of Cricket Sierra Leone, especially when they embark on strides that drive development forward. The Cricket Association always brings home laurels each time they represent the country in international competitions. Completing this facility, the Association is expected to win medals,” he said.

With NSA being the country’s sports regulatory body, Dr. Swaray went on to say they appreciate every single positive effort made by sporting associations or individuals. “Improving sports to better Sierra Leone is our goal,” he added, calling on other sporting disciplines to emulate the good example of Cricket Sierra Leone.
