President Bio Reshuffles Ambassadors

Freetown, Sierra Leone – President Julius Maada Bio announced a significant reshuffling of ambassadors on Monday, July 1, 2024. Several key positions have been reassigned, while others have been relieved of their duties. The new appointments are as follows:

  • Paul Sober Massaquoi, previously the Executive Director, has been appointed as the Ambassador to the Republic of South Korea.
  • Dr. Julius Sandy, formerly the Secretary to the President, has been appointed as the High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
  • Dr. Emmanuel A.R. Gaima, who served as the Chairman of the Tripartite Committee, has been appointed as the Secretary to the President.
  • Daniel Kaitibi has taken over as the Executive Director of the Maritime Administration.

This reshuffle is part of President Bio’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Sierra Leone’s diplomatic relations and improve administrative efficiency within key governmental departments.
