BROTHERS GRANTED 50,000 BAIL IN BURGLARY AND LARCENY

William George Stone and Ola George Stone made their first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown on a count charge of Burglary and Larceny contrary to section 25 (1) and 13 (a) of the larceny Act of 1916

According to the particulars of offence on Wednesday the 12th March 2025 at Isaac Renner Drive first bridge Gloucester village the mountain rural area in Freetown with intent to steal broke and entered into the dwelling house of Cecila Korji and steal therein one DSTV decord, one land luggage, one traveller electric iron, small suit case , Sierra Leone passport book, gold wrist watch and other assorted items equivalent to the total value of sixteen thousand six hundred and ten Leones(16,610) Property of Cecilia Korji

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person No plea taken

Counsel representing the accused persons M.K Donda Esq applied for bail on behalf of the accused persons

Meanwhile, Magistrate Kekura granted bail to both accused persons in the sum of fifty thousand Leones with one surety each in like sum surety must be resident in Freetown and should produce their national identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown. The bail condition to be approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar.

The matter was adjourned to the 9th of April, 2025, for the continuation of their trial.
