Plumber Faces Court for Alleged Guma Meter theft

Freetown, Sierra Leone, John Kamara a thirty-eight years old plumber made his first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown on Friday, 4th April, 2025, on a count charge of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the larceny Act of 1916

According to the particulars of offence on the 18th March 2025 at #3A Syke Street the western area in Freetown did steal on GUMA valley water meter valued five thousand Leones(5,000) property of GUMA Valley water company whilst in custody of Gibril Yillah

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person he pleaded not guilty

The prosecutor Dpc 17649 Brima Kargbo sought for a short adjournment date because his witness was absent in court

Meanwhile, Magistrate Kekura refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional facility in Freetown.

The case has been adjourned to the 10th of April, 2025, for further proceedings.
