NaCOVERC Southern Region Cautions Residents

The Spokesman of NaCOVERC Southern Region, Mr.  Newman Anthony Levey has cautioned residents in the Southern Region to abide by the COVID-19 rules to keep themselves safe from the third wave of the COVID-19 virus.  

He went on to say that since the outbreak of the COVID-19, Moyamba and Pujehun district have registered its first Covid -19 death since March 2020.  

“The cases recorded by district as of May 21st2021 to the 2nd of July, 2021 are as follows: 

Bo district: 10, Bonthe district: 14, Moyamba district: 5, Pujehun District: 5,” said Mr. Anthony Levey, adding that the cumulative case recorded by the region as of the said dates is 34. 

Therefore, he said that the NaCOVERC Southern Region Office is advising residents to abide by the National Address by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Rtd. Brigadier Dr. Julius Maada Bio on the 1st of July, 2021 on the additional measures on the third wave of Covid -19.
