CEO OF PHILIP FC DONATES TO SIERRA LEONE NATIONAL FEMALE U-20 SIDE
The Chief Executive Officer of Philip Football Club, Inspector Philip Amara, today 25th August, 2021, donated requisite items to the Sierra Leone National Female U-20 side ahead of their FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup qualifier against Guinea.
The items donated ranged from cash support, sanitary pads, bundles of water and toiletries.
Speaking during the donation, CEO Amara, who is also the Chairman for the Police Sports Committee, said his passion for the development of female football is unmeasurable and that he is elated to demonstrate such a gesture. “This is my way of complementing the tireless effort of the Sierra Leone Football Association in promoting female football in the country,’ he noted, adding that the kind gesture is a fresh start of his unending support to the National Female side before the match against Guinea and when the team progresses to the next stage.
Skipper of the Sierra Leone National Female U-20 side, Isata Kamara, described the gesture as timely, applauding the commitment displayed by Mr. Philip Amara in promoting female football in Sierra Leone over the years.
The Sierra Leone National Female U-20 side will face their Guinean counterparts in the FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup Qualifier. The first leg encounter is scheduled to take place in Guinea on the 25th September 2021, with the return leg to be honored on 5th October, 2021 in Sierra Leone.
