Bakaramoh Disable Foundation Appeals for Support

The Program Manager of Bakaramoh Foundation Sierra Leone situated at No. 135 Kissy Road, Mr. Yusuf Mansarayhas revealed in an exclusive interview with this reporter over the plight of Disable Community in Sierra Leone.

Mr. Mansaray said that the Bakaramoh Foundation was established in 2017 by a group of Disable Persons from all 14 Districts of Sierra Leone, adding that their main purpose is to seek the welfare of their members and ensure that they play a positive role towards national development. Mr. Mansaray said since its establishment with operational offices in the western Urban/ Rural District the Organization has raised awareness in many Districts and also give support to the aged and women, adding that they have supported Mosques with praying mats and buckets. He said that they have given scholarship to hundreds girls in Freetown and Bo respectively from the resources gathered from the general public.

Mr. Mansaray said the foundation itself was formed to promote Disability rights in Sierra Leone and provide welfare support to the vulnerable in society and equally support women in Agriculture for their Socio-economic sustainability. Mr. Mansaray has appealed to Government, Philanthropists and humanitarian organizations at home and abroad for full support towards the Disability community, adding that disability is not inability.
