Sierra Leone’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Intensifies Campaign at AU Executive Council
Friday, 15th October 2021: Sierra Leone’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Professor David John Francis has intensified his campaign for the Country’s candidate at the 39th Session of the Executive Council of the African Union Commission held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Sierra Leone’s candidate for the position of Commissioner of the African Commission for Human and People’s Rights is Hon. Justice Tonia Barnett, a Court of Appeal Judge.
Justice Barnett is contesting against 3 other candidates from Ghana, Gambia and Niger.
Prof. Francis who was busy yesterday at the Nelson Mandela Conference Hall campaigning delegates is certain that Justice Barnett will emerge victorious because of her exceptional academic credentials and international experience which are unmatched.
He said he will not rest until Justice Barnett wins the coveted position.
