NOTIFICATION FOR PUBLIC DISCLOSURE ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL SOCIAL AND HEALTH IMPECT ASSESSMENT DOCUMENT ON CAPITOL TRADING COMPANY (SL) LTDTISSOR, KENEMA DISTRICT, SIERRA LEONE.
This is to notify interested and/affected parties on the Environmental, Social and Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) conducted for Capitol Trading Company (SL) Ltd at Tissor, Kenema District, Sierra Leone.
In compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency-Sierra Leone (EPA-SL) Act- 2008 and it complementary Act of 2010. It is mandatory for Capitol Trading Company undertake prospective impact studies and design approaches in minimizing associated potential Social Health and the Environmental Impacts. This process is required to be achieved through the EIA studies that were conducted by Civil & Environmental Consultancy (SL) Limited consultants on behalf of Capitol Trading.
The Environmental Social & Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) report has been presented to the EPA-SL for onward submission to the affected and interested stakeholders during the public disclosure process. EPA-SL, Civil and Environmental & EC (SL) Ltd and Capitol Trading Company (SL) LTD propose to conduct stakeholders’ engagement process at the following location and date at 9:30am.
- Capitol Hotel,51, Hangha Road Kenema city, on the 18th November, 2021. The report has been presented in volume, for the Environmental,Social & Health Assessment study on the operations of Capitol Trading. The report is now available for reference purposes up to Thursday 25th November, 2021 at the following locations:
- The Environmental Protection Agency Sierra Leone (EPA-SL office, 92 Dundas Street, Freetown.
