Today is World Radio Day. On this day, the MRCG congratulates all broadcast media owners, managers and practitioners on providing tremendous services amidst various challenges.
The theme- Radio and Trust- resonates with broadcast practices in Sierra Leone as studies after studies have indicated high level of trust for radio stations in Sierra Leone. Radio remains the main source of credible information across the country.
As National Coordinator of MRCG, I congratulate the Independent Radio Network (IRN), which is leading national observance of the day with a nationwide programme to reflect on the challenges and prospects of radio broadcasting in Sierra Leone.
