TEC Approves Regent Village College

The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) together with the National Council for Technical, Vocational and Other Academic Awards (NCTVA), have certified and approved the Regent Village which id dubbed the Forum and Management Excellence College (FAME) to operate as an institution of higher learning.

This news was highly celebrated on Thursday 8th September 2022, in the Regent Village by stakeholders and residents of the Village and the immediate surroundings.

The founder of the college, Mr. Jonny-Paul Koroma was also celebrated for the ground-breaking history in establishing a college in the Regent Village. 

Head of the delegation, Mr. Arnold Davies, a retired Educationalist, and Consultant have applauded Mr. Johnny Paul Koroma for his tremendous efforts in establishing a college in the Regent Village. He further called on the Regentonians to take ownership of the college by supporting its growth and development. He informed that Regent Village has produced lots of people that are now contributing significantly to the development of the country.

He said Regent Village is one among few others with an amicable environment to pursue higher education.

In his reply, Mr Johnny Paul Koroma said FAME College has gained National Recognition from both TEC and NCTVA. He said the college which was established in June 2020 was born out of passion to offer higher education opportunities in Management and Administration, Information Communication and Technology and other Social Sciences to students that want to pursue their careers in diverse fields. He said the goal of Fame College is to provide an improved quality education that will enhance Sierra Leoneans access to international opportunities. He said Fame College is dedicated to developing each students potential to become an intellectually courageous, socially responsible citizen of the world. The college, he went on exist as a locally based learning institution to provide International Educational Standards to young Sierra Leoneans of which Sierra Leoneans and Regentonians in particular should be proud of. He added that the college has trained and qualified staffs that are passionate about supporting students to attain their goals
