The Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Mohamed Rahman Swarray has on Thursday 15th September 2022, cautioned saboteurs who have bent on in destroying or tarnishing the hard-earned reputation of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio on social media with misleading information.
Mr. Mohamed Rahman Swarray went on to say that it is unpatriotic for the saboteurs to disseminate wrong information on social media on the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of Kenya William Ruto. Mr. Swarray added that, His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio is passionate about deepens the ties between Kenya and Sierra Leone, adding that, there is a cordial relationship between the two countries. He lauded that His Excellency President Bio is down to earth and he is also concerned about maintaining high diplomatic relationship with countries in the world. The Information Minister clarified further that, as part of the African Union mandate it is expected of all nations in Africa to embrace each other and support each other in time of need.
“For those bloggers who have sacrificed their energy to blaspheme against the person of the first gentleman of the Republic of Sierra Leone must stop,” he cautioned, adding that, these saboteurs are spreading the misleading information with hate and malice that His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio was not invited in Kenya. He expressed that, these saboteurs are jealous of the huge progress that the SLPP government is making in the area of Human Capital Development.
He added that the Human Capital Development initiative of President Bio has helped lots of Sierra Leoenans that are currently contributing to the development of the country. He reminded the saboteurs that during the inauguration ceremony of His Excellency President Bio in 2018, Presidents, high powered delegations and diplomatic corps witnessed the ceremony that was held at the National Stadium. He stated that he sees nothing wrong to replicate same to a brother in Africa. He concluded by stating that they will not be distracted by hooligans that have bent on in destroying the good image of the ruling SLPP government.
