Women for All Seasons Celebrates 1st Anniversary

In a top notch thanksgiving ceremony in honor of the Almighty God for keeping them together, the Women for All Seasons also known as “What Are Sisters For” has on Sunday 20th November 2022, celebrated their first thanksgiving service at the Church of God of Prophesy, Blackhall Road in the east end of Freetown.

With the theme: “Every Wise Women Buildeth Her House, But The Foolish Plucketh it Down with Her Hands.

The Chairlady of the Women for All Season, Mrs. Adeyemi Kanu informed the church that the Women for All Season was established on the 30th of April 2016, adding that, they share no partisan interest and their focus is to give out support to those in need and build on their spiritual lives. As part of their activities, she explained that they have supported school children with learning materials from five schools. She added that, a total of fifty school children from five schools in the eastern part of Freetown have benefitted from their support.

“Hennessey Primary, VEM Primary, National Pentecostal Primary School, Charity Primary School and Kissy Community Primary have benefitted from our support,” she said, adding that, as part of their activities, she said that is to support people in Mental Homes and Orphanages among others. She concluded by thanking those that attended the thanksgiving ceremony and appealed for support towards their humanitarian work.

Giving out the address, Mrs. Cassandra Williams admonished members of the Women for All Season to continue in love, stating further that, love is the oil to lubricate the bond within them.  She described their humanitarian work as a ‘Kingdom work’, adding that, giving of charity is a fulfillment of the word of God. She called on members of Women for All Season to continue in love in supporting the needy and less privileged. She also appealed to the church and all Sierra Leoneans to support the work of Women for All Season.
