Sierra Leone police are hunting for one Ibrahim Kelvin Koroma, a suspect who was accused of retaliating by setting fire on a house own by Agba Ansumana Kanu, the Supreme Head of the Republic Ojeh Society at the Kroo Bay community in Freetown.
After surviving months of repeated raids and harassments for giving testimony in Church and burning society properties, Ibrahim Kelvin Koroma saw his resident burnt down by society members of the Ojeh Society.
It was alleged that as a way of retaliating Kelvin Koroma too went on to burn the house of Agba Kanu’s on Sunday September 12 2021 and that he is now on the run.
According to reliable sources at the Kroo Bay Community, Koroma who was a member of both the Hunters society and the Ojeh Society since his childhood after been initiated into these societies by his late father, decided to give his soul to the Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, he went publicly and burnt all properties belonging to these societies after giving testimony in Church.
The sources furthered that the supreme head of the Ojeh Society, Agba Ansumana Kanu ordered that Kelvin should be brought to their secret ojeh society shrine, but they couldn’t find him which led for the order to burn down his house just the way he burnt their belongings.
According to witness statements that decline to give their names for security reasons, it was not actually clear whether it was Kelvin Koroma who burnt down the house of Agba Kanu because his brothers who also are members of these societies vowed to retaliate for the way and manner at which their family’s house was burnt down by these society members.
Despite the matter is in the hands of the Sierra Leone Police who has mounted a thorough search for the suspect Ibrahim Kelvin Koroma and also went on to declare him wanted, that has not stopped the society members from continuously hunting him day after day.
One of the witnesses also indicated that members of both the Ojeh and Hunters societies were seen at Koroma’s mother house every night threatened to kill her if she failed to tell them the where about her son.
It was revealed that a bounty was placed on the head of Koroma and a handsome reward was placed for any person who will show his where about.
The witness told this press that it was good that the Koroma escaped from not only these society members who want him dead but also from the police, noting that he was a victim of circumstances, it’s because he chooses to become a Christian, his resident was burnt and due to the grievance they have for him because he gave testimony in Church and publicly burnt down their belongings, they want him dead at all cost even though it was not clear whether Agba Kanu’s house was burn down by Koroma or one of his brothers.
According to a source from the family, Koroma secretly flee the country for neighbouring Guinea on the 14th September 2021. Whatever the truth is, authorities here have not given up searching for him as report say he is still badly wanted by both the Ojeh Society and the Hunters Society and also the Sierra Leone Police has issued out a warrant of arrest for Koroma.
Also, it’s revealed that the search for Koroma is still ongoing as members of the society are now harassing members of his family to the extent that they have now threatens kill his Mother who is reporting everyday to the Police.
Meanwhile, the Police Head quarter in Freetown has confirmed to this press that they’ve issued a warrant of arrest and that anyone who will assist with information should call SLP 112/900 and also anyone with information that leads to the arrest of Ibrahim Kelvin Koroma will be rewarded.
