The Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Memunatu Pratt and team arrived in Berlin, Germany, on Monday 6th March 2023 to attend ITB Travel Trade Show which will be held from Tuesday 7th to Thursday 9th March 2023.
The Minister and team were warmly received by senior officials of the Sierra Leone Embassy in Berlin, Germany.
The ITB Travel Trade Show has over the years developed into the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show.
This is due to the expert knowledge of an experienced trade team coupled with keen understanding of major trends and developments in the international travel industry. It has not only grown in size, Exhibitor numbers and attendance, but also serves as a comprehensive industry market place, showcasing travel products and services from around the world and growth-intensive niche markets.
The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs with support from the World Bank has recruited Marketing Representatives in Germany, Spain, UK and the USA to package Sierra Leone as an attractive destination for tourists from Europe and North America. It is therefore imperative that the Ministry and its Agencies alongside the private sector participate in the ITB Travel Trade Show to showcase our products and explore networking opportunities.
The Minister and team will also engage in several bilateral discussions with counterparts on the tourism sector
