With the University Act of 2021, incorporating the Kono University of Science and Technology, due diligence has been served to the people of Kono District. We cannot wish for anything more than an institution that promotes the human resource industry in Kono District. The effort of the C4C Caucus Leader in this whole process from the genesis deserves a standing ovation. We will never forget Hon. EMERSON Lamina for this singular show of loyalty and love for Kono District.
We have come to a position where the almighty UNIVERSITY OF SIERRA LEONE can no longer make education a nightmare for students in this country. We now have an open extra three more opportunities for students to school either at “THE KONO UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY in Kono, or THE MILTON MAGAI TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY or THE EASTERN TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY”.
When the extravagant quagmire of establishing the Kono University was under discussion, many MPS, including Hon. Sahr CHARLES, Kassegbama, Komba Kamanda, Hon. Paul Saa Sam and Hon. Francis Bhendu who did not believe in the true course for which the C4C Leader stood, criticized and walked out of Parliament many many times, but the C4C Caucus Leader stood for the truth and today, we are proud to announce that the Kono University of Science and Technology has finally been established by law. Today, these irresponsible vagabonds who never wanted this university to pass into law have bowed their heads in shame because their preposterous action of walking out of Parliament whenever the Kono University was under discussions have been recorded in this struggle and their names have gone down into the annal of history that it was they who never wanted Kono to have a university; we shall remember them in this.
Now more than ever, Hon Rebecca Yei Kamara and Hon. Musa Fofona with our brother, Hon. Tom Tucker and P.C Mbriwa have proven their unflinchingly authentic loyalty to Kono’s vital interest. History will never forget Hon. Musa Fofona and Hon. Rebecca Yei Kamara for the stupendous role they plaid in this all time history making event.
God bless the Minister of Technical and Higher Education, Professor Dr. Alpha TEJAN WURIE. All thanks to the members of the Sierra Leone Parliament for making this a reality. Special thanks to the Leader of Government Business, the deputy speaker, K.K.Y and Leader of the opposition, Chernor Maju Bah.

A billion thanks to His Excellency, Julius Maada Bio for correcting this educational injustice which the Bread Basket of Sierra Leone (Kono) has suffered since time immemorial. Mr. President, Kono will never forget this. Thanks a lot Sir.
