The giant Telecommunication Company operating in Sierra Leone, Africell Mobile Company has again made history by ensuring that its customers and the general public watch live matches of the ongoing AFCON, especially all Leone Stars matches through its special facilities provided in various communities in Freetown and beyond.
On Tuesday 11th January 2022, the management of Africell brought joy to the Wilberforce community; especially to those who could not afford to watch the live matches of the African Cup of Nations. This laudable move of Africell Mobile Company helped thousands of Sierra Leoneans to watch the first encounter of our darling Leone Stars with the Algerians nationals live from Cameroon. It was a remarkable event at the Wilberforce playing field which attracted over 1000 Sierra leoneans to cheer-up the Sierra Leone national team.
In an exclusive interview with John Konteh, the Media Manager of Africell said, this is one of the ways Africell is giving back to the people of Sierra Leone in time of need. He went on to say that Africell is the biggest sponsor of the Sierra Leone national team in Algeria. He added that they have also provided ticket to six winners of the Africell AFCON promo together with allowances, accommodation and transportation to watch the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon. He concluded that this free screen AFCON matches will be replicated in Dwarzark Field and Fourah Bay Field in the coming days.

He added by commending Africell for the excellent display of their patronage towards the national team.
