Ahead of China’s Competition… Four Sierra Leoneans Successfully Completes Trials

Ahead of China’s competition, Badminton has successfully completed trials for the Racquet Sport that is played using Racquets to hit a shuttlecock across the net.

Although it may be played with more players, the most common forms of the game are “singles” (with one player per side) and “doubles” (with two players per side).

Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side’s half of the court.

Ahead of their schools Olympic competition on Saturday 29th May, 2021at Siaka Stevens Stadium. The Sierra Leone Badminton Association, Executives together with the most versatile and dynamic National Coach, Abdul Bangura (Tamia) successfully organized a nationwide trials as they will bring players from Lungi, Kono, Bo, Makeni and Freetown to be part of the selected individuals to make it to the trip in three month time.

Fortunately, four participants were outstanding during the trials as they put up an eye-catching performance (two men and two women).

The four successful participants are: Salamatu  Kalokoh, Hawanatu  Kalokoh, Ibrahim Ezago Conteh and Arabieu Jalloh.
