AMBASSADOR KAO DENERO COURTESY VISIT CONTINUES TO THE MINISTER OF TRADE & INDUSTRY.

In his quest for familiarizing and creating a good working relationship with relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies, the Ambassador for Entertainment and Investment Kao Denero and a cross section of his Board Members today 8th July 2021 paid a courtesy visit on the Minister of Trade and Industry Hon. Dr. Edward Hinga Sandy at his 6th floor Youyi Building Office in Freetown.

Ambassador Kao Denero informed the Minister about the need to review the Copyright Act of 2011 and also the implementation of the Act. He further said that piracy has caused huge financial losses to Entertainers in Sierra Leone.
The charismatic Ambassador registered to the Minister his engagement with some Investors in Dubai and also the MOU signing with the United States based firm Gs Victory International LLC.

He explained modalities he is working on to bring in soba minded Investors to Sierra Leone.
He suggested to Dr. Sandy for Sierra Leonean Entertainers to be provided with soft loan facility in order for them to invest in their various crafts.
He concluded by telling the Minister that his office is looking forward for a collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

The Hon. Ministry of Trade and Industry in his remark first welcomed Ambassador Kao Denero and his team to his Ministry. He said that the appointment of Kao Denero by President Bio came at the right time and it is a good thing to write about. His narrated the importance of private sector investment in Sierra Leone as it will broaden the economy of the country thereby providing lot of jobs for the citizenry.

Dr. Sandy asserted his Ministry’s willingness in working with the Office of the Ambassador for Entertainment and Investment in creating an enable environment for Investment and Trade in Sierra Leone. He highlighted the significant of the Private sector investment in economic diversification and job creation. The Ambassador and Minister are set to meet soonest for further
discussion with regards the issues raised.
