Ambassador Sadiq Silla presents letters of credence to Chadian President Deby

Chadian president, His Excellency Mahamat Idriss Déby and His Excellency, Ambassador Sadiq Silla

Cairo – Sunday, 19 February 2023: Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Cairo, the Arab Republic of Egypt accredited to Chad presented his letters of credence on Tuesday 14 February 2023 to the Chadian president, His Excellency Mahamat Idriss Déby at the Presidential Palace in the capital, N’Djamena.

During the meeting, His Excellency, Ambassador Sadiq Silla conveyed to President Déby the greetings of His Excellency Brig. Rtd. Dr. Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, and sincere wishes to the Chadian President and his people for further development and prosperity.

Welcoming him to N’Djamena, His Excellency President Déby reciprocated his greetings to the Sierra Leone Presidency, wishing the government and people successful elections in June and further growth and development. President Deby also wished the ambassador success in his work to enhance bilateral ties across various fields while highlighting his country’s readiness to provide him with the required support and facilitate his duties.

Ambassador Silla expressed gratification at representing Sierra Leone as a nonresident Ambassador in Chad and his keenness to continue to expand the ties across all domains in furtherance of the fraternal relations between the two nations.

Both sides discussed the prospects of fostering cooperation that would enhance South-South cooperation between Sierra Leone and Chad across various fronts during the meeting.

Ambassador Sadiq Silla was accompanied by other high-level officials in the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Cairo, Egypt.
