His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio has assured the Chief Executive Officer of TAF AFRICA GLOBAL LIMITED, Mustapha Njie, of the government’s support to invest in the housing sector.
The President made this statement while addressing a team from TAF AFRICA GLOBAL LIMITED led by the Sierra Leone High Commissioner to the Gambia and team at State House in Freetown.
In his brief statement, President Bio welcomed the CEO of TAF AFRICA GLOBAL LIMITED to Sierra Leone. He disclosed that there are still challenges in the housing sector, adding that Freetown is a congested city that is geographically squeezed between the sea and Range Mountains. The President noted further that his government is trying its best to ensure sustainable solutions.
President Bio said his vision was to prioritize the provision of affordable housing and country planning. He assured that, under the New Direction, Sierra Leone is ready to work with credible investors. “As a nation, we are ready to provide what is expected of Government in the direction of providing affordable housing in Sierra Leone,” he stated.
CEO of TAF AFRICA GLOBAL LIMITED, Mustapha Njie, commended President Bio for his readiness to develop Sierra Leone. He said the government of President Bio has demonstrated seriousness in partnering with his company. The CEO revealed that they offer a wide selection of apartment, houses and commercial properties for short, medium and long term rental across The Gambia, expressing readiness to share such experience in Sierra Leone soon in supporting the Government and its people.
CEO Njie also expressed commitments to starting work in Sierra Leone hence an investment agreement is signed on Wednesday 16th June 2021 between TAF AFRICA GLOBAL LIMITED and the Government of Sierra Leone in the conference room of the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Country Planning.
In another development, CEO Njie and team led by the High Commissioner Sierra Leone Mission to The Gambia, H.E Lucrecia Mariam Shereef and staff paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mamadi Gobeh Kamara, the Direction-General and Ambassador-At-Large, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mrs Francess Bangalie, the Minister of Finance, Hon Denis Vandi, Minister of Lands, Dr Turad Senesie and Dr John Tambi, to familiarise and discuss further developments.
