Commoners Club Global Donates Food Items to the Physically Challenged & Less Privilege

Commoners Club Global has donated food items worth Millions of Leones to Persons Living with Disabilities and less privileged children in Freetown.

The donation was done to Help Empower Polio Persons Organization (HEPPO) and less privileged children and disabled people who squatter along the cotton tree axis in the central part of Freetown.

The presentation was done on the 8th January 2023 by the leadership and membership of Commoners Club Global.

In his address the Chairman/Leader of Commoners Club Global Elder Ansu Bangura (popularly known as Most Power Cord MPC), expressed his thanks and appreciation to the general membership of Commoners Club Global for contributing towards the Feed the Needy project that targets about 500 people across the country.

He maintained that Commoners Club Global was established to cater for deprived students in universities so as to give them the opportunity to mingle with others and feel among. He maintained that the club exists in almost all universities across the country and can boast of having the largest membership as far as university clubs are concerned.

Mr. Bangura noted that as one of the core values of the club which is to share whatever little it has to others, they are giving out such a donation in the month of January so as to help alleviate the challenges persons with disabilities undergo during this month and to let them know that CCG is always there to support them.

He encouraged the membership of Help Empower Polio Persons Organization (HEPPO) to continue to strive to survive as giving up is not an option for them and they should do all they could to rise up to occasion.

MPC Bangura informed the PWDs that the items they are donating was sourced from the membership of CCG and its Elders both home and globally, and they are targeting PWDs in Freetown, Bo, Makeni, and Kenema. “We cannot give you what we don’t have, but we will always share with you the little we have in our coffers, as nothing is too small or big to share” Bangura asserted.

He on behalf of the general membership wished them a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous 2023.

Receiving the Donations on behalf of Help Empower Polio Persons Organization (HEPPO) the Chairman Ishmail Komba Gborie expressed his thanks and appreciation to the leadership and membership of Commoners Club Global for considering them in this donation and pray that Allah/God continue to bless them and the children born and unborn. He admitted that they appreciate the donation as it was timely, especially when it is coming at a moment when things are hard for them and their families. He uses the forum as an opportunity to offer special prayers for the membership of Commoners Club Global to continue to be united and may peace reign among their families.

The Donations were done at PWD, and Cotton Tree area in Freetown, Similar Donations will be done in Bo, Kenema and Makeni in subsequent weeks.
