Dibia Chiefdom Endorses Lama Bundu for PC

All seven sections in the Dibia Chiefdom, Keana district in the North-West of the republic of Sierra Leone have unanimously endorsed Mr. Hassan Lama Bundu to contest for the Diabia Chieftaincy Election.

This came about because of the immaculate, unblemished and incalculable contributions of Mr. Hassan Lama Bundu in seeking the welfare of the people of Dibia Chiefdom.

In a week long dialogue visit to all seven sections of Dibia chiefdom, the people came out massively to welcome Mr. Hassan Lama Bundu as a way of demonstrating their love to him.

Whilst addressing the mammoth crowd of Tribal Authorities and indigenes, Mr. Bundu thanked his people for showing their willingness to elect him as Paramount Chief of the great Diabia Chiefdom, adding by encouraging them to remain unwavering in bringing positive change in the chiefdom.

“Enough is enough,” he declared, adding by stating that it is now time to develop the Diabia Chiefdom. He also encouraged the growing youth population to stay home and be self-relevance and gain an edge in attaining socio-economic sustainability. He called on the people to forget the past and open a new page of astute leadership that can transform the chiefdom.

Mr. Bundu further informed his audience that the Bunduka Ruling House is derived from his Great Grandfather AlimamyRassin (1825-1890), also commonly known as “the Peace Maker”. Mr. Bundu thanked the elders for their steadfastness in supporting him to lead the Diabia Chiefdom. He assured that he will revive the good work of his grandfather AlimamyRassin, whose records he said are still unbroken.

Investigations show that Hassan Lama Bundu has an impeccable character, all his contemporaries acknowledged his sterling qualities. Hassan Lama Bundu has taught in several Senior Secondary Schools in Sierra Leone and the Gambia where he was awarded on three occasions as “the Best Teacher of the Year”.

His father, Amadu Lama Bundu was a Chiefdom speaker and a Senior Council Member. Hassan has engaged himself in community development services in Dibia chiefdom. He has served as co-coordinator for the Dibia Financial Services Association (DFSA) which is now the leading financial service in the district. He has also served as Chiefdom Supervisor for the 2015 Population and Housing Census.

During the Ebola Scourge, he took the challenge through Oxfam Sierra Leone as Constituency Coordinator to fight the epidemic in DibiaSafroke and SandeMagbhlonthor as the least affected throughout in all chiefdoms.
