The 12th Edition of the Ernest Bai Koroma Trophy (EBK Trophy) finals will be held on Saturday 25th December 2021 at the Wusum Grounds in Makeni.
Sixteen (16)male teams male and four female teams participated in the tournament nationwide that kick-off on 6th November 2021 and the Sahid Conteh-U Football Club of Makeni and Magbema Strikers Football Club of Kambia will lock horns for the finals and Mena Queens of Makeni Versus Patricia Umu Football Club from Kambia in the female category.
One of the Communications Team of the EBK Trophy, Abdul Tejan Koroma stated that the tournament is single handily sponsored by the Leader of the main opposition in Parliament for Constituency 126, Hon. Chernor Ramadan Maju Bah.
According to Abdul Tejan Koroma, in the male category, the winner will go home with Le 30 Million and the Runners-up Le 15 Million and in the female category, the winner will take home Le 10 Million and the Runners-up Le 5 Million as all the two matches will play in the same Wusum Grounds in Makeni.
The tournament which many sports pundits nicknamed as “the Northern Champions League” welcomed newcomers include, Bullom Stars, Hippos, Sankaran Warriors,Sahid Conteh-U and Urban Stars Football clubs in this year’s showpiece.
