Falaba – On Sunday, February 23, 2025, residents of Falaba District gathered for a heartfelt ceremony to express their gratitude to His Excellency Brigadier Julius Maada Bio, Hon. Mohamed Bilow Shaw Esq., and the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) for the significant development projects currently underway in the area. The event highlighted the ongoing infrastructure improvements and social services that have notably transformed the district.
Key developments celebrated during the ceremony included the ongoing construction of a vital road connecting Koinadugu District to Falaba, a project expected to greatly enhance transportation and accessibility for the local population. Additionally, attendees recognized the completion of new schools and hospitals, as well as expansions in water and electricity supply—milestones crucial for the district’s progress. The establishment of local radio stations was also mentioned as an important step towards improving communication and community engagement.
The ceremony featured remarks from influential figures, including Hon. Alhaji Foday Jabbi, the Paramount Chief of Dembelia Sukunia Chiefdom, Alimamy Lahai Sheku, the Chairlady of Falaba District, and Finda Samura, the SLPP Women’s Leader for Falaba. Each speaker emphasized the positive impact of these developments and acknowledged the strong leadership of President Bio and Hon. Mohamed Bilow Shaw, whose contributions have been vital to the advancement of the district.
