The President of the Federation International Football Association (FIFA) and also the President of the Confederation of Africa Football Club (CAF) will pay a maiden visit to Sierra Leone and it is expected that they will meet with His Excellency President Bio on Wednesday 5th May 2021.
The one day visit to Sierra Leone is as a result of an invitation of the Sierra Leone Football Association President Madam Isha Johansen and both FIFA President Gianni Infantino and CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe are expected to meet with other stakeholders in the country to discuss on pertinent issues. “Both Presidents look forward to meeting the Head of State His Excellency Brigadier (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio and an interactive session with the Sierra Leone football federation family,” this is according to the release from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), adding that upon accepting the invitation, President Infantino remarked that, “It will be a unique opportunity to share our vision of football and the ways to further develop our game in your country and promote its values”.
It is expected that the visit of both Presidents will be a landmark event in the history Sierra Leone Football.
