Former President Koroma Stops Over At The US Embassy And EU Delegation

This morning, the former President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma, drove from his home town of Makeni to the residence of the British High Commissioner in Freetown. The former President was in the capital to sign the Book of Condolence in honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

On his return to Makeni, the statesman stopped over at the Embassy of the United States (US) of America and at the European Union (EU) Delegation in Sierra Leone. Since he left office, the former president has maintained a strong cordial relationship with the diplomatic community both in his country, and in countries where he has led African Union and ECOWAS elections observation missions. His stop over visits to Ambassador Reiner of the United States and Ambassador Muller of EU Delegation was a gesture of appreciation for their continued support to Sierra Leone’s peace and development aspirations.
