As part of her contributions to the ongoing voter’s sensitization and registration in the country, the Information Attaché to South Korea, Mrs. Michaella Brewah Bonnie has on Saturday 17th September 2022, donated the sum of five thousand leones (Nle 5,000 or 5million old leones) and two megaphones in support of the Executive Members of the ruling SLPP party in Constituency 115.
Constituency 115 covers Peacock farm, Taylor Street, Up Mountain, Koya Town, Samura Town and Kamadon Town.
In her statement, the Information Attaché to South Korea underscores the commitment and achievements of the ruling SLPP Government in transforming the country. Mrs. Michaella Brewah Bonnie adds that, through the Free Quality Education program, His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio has contributed immensely to the improvement of the Human Capital of the country. Mrs. Bonnie who is so devoted to the cause of the SLPP party, in winning the 2023 Elections, shares her excitement coming back to the country to register for the forthcoming Presidential, Parliamentary and Local Council Elections.
As an indigene of Constituency 115, the Information Attaché to South Korea told her people that she feels fulfilled associating herself with her people and members of the ruling SLPP party. She discloses that, the donation is in support of the ongoing voter’s sensitization, adding by appealing to all eligible voters of Constituency 115 to come out and register for the forthcoming elections. Mrs. Bonnie further underscores that the ruling SLPP party is a party that believes in upholding the tenet of democracy. She went on to say that the SLPP party is a party that eschewed violence in whatever form, adding by cautioning supports and members of the SLPP party to remain peaceful and law abiding. She noted that, this is not the first-time that she is extending a hand of help to the people of Constituency 115. She added that, during the Holy Month of Ramadan, she donated food items to hundreds of Muslims that were observing the Holy Month of Ramadan in the constituency. As a foot soldier of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio and the ruling SLPP Government, Mrs. Bonnie said that, the kind gestures is in connection of the love and compassion that the SLPP party has for the people of Sierra Leone.
Receiving the donated cash and megaphones, the Chairlady of the SLPP party in Constituency 115, Adama Bangura thanked Mrs. Bonnie for always coming to their aid. She added by commending Mrs. Bonnie for always supporting the people of Constituency 115 and members of the SLPP party. The SLPP Chairlady further stated that they are proud of her and that His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio did not make mistake in appointing Mrs. Bonnie to serve as Information Attaché. She added that, Mrs Bonnie is always willing and ready to come to their aid in time of need. She assured Mrs. Bonnie that the donated items will be used for the right purpose.
On behalf of the SLPP Young Generation leader in Constituency 115, Mamoud Barrie also thanked Mrs. Bonnie for always supporting them. He also acknowledged that the donated items will go a long way cascading the need for the voter’s registration. He further disclosed that Mrs. Bonnie is among few individuals that have demonstrated patriotisms in support of the ongoing voter’s registration exercise in the country. The SLPP Young Generation Leader further stated that the donated items have bolstered their efforts in support the democratic process in the country. On behalf of members of the SLPP Young Generation, Mr. Barrie thanked Mrs. Bonnie for the unflinching support towards the SLPP party and the people of Constituency 115.
In her quest to ensure that the voter’s registration sensitization reaches every part of Constituency 115, the Information Attaché to South Korea, Madam Michaella Bonnie on Monday 19th September 2022, organized a float parade and called out people to go out and register for the 2023 elections.
This mouthwatering event attracted the youth, women, men, elderly people and business sector. Mrs. Bonnie uses the opportunity to share pleasantries to the people of Constituency 115.
