Kissy University Students’ Association (KUSA) Call for Support

The President of the Kissy University Students’ Association (KUSA), Mr. Yusif Bovison Sandy has called on stakeholders of the Kissy environs and other meaningful Sierra Leoneans to support their free classes drive in the Kissy Community.

Mr. Yusif Bovison Sandy went on to say that since they established KUSA in 2008, they have been holding free summer school classes at the Methodist Boys’ High School in Thunder Hill, Kissy Mess-Mess. He added that their aim is to give back to the Kissy Community and inspire those that are in school to take their academic work seriously.

“99â„… of funding is coming from within the Association mainly from members’ contributions,” he said, adding that they are looking forward from the public to support the free summer school project and give back to society.Mr. Yusif disclosed that currently only pupils in the Senior Secondary School level are benefitting from the project, adding that they want to extend the project to the Junior School level but they lack the requisite financial support to cater for the Junior Secondary School level. He therefore appealed to members of the public to give out support to them and help in capacitating pupils to actualize their academic potentials.

“We are looking forward to the public to support this project of giving back to society,” said Mr. Yusif Bovison Sandy, adding that every year, the Summer School classes is climaxed with a Debating Competition and awarding of prizes to pupils.
