Freetown, Sierra Leone – Mohamed Mansaray, a local petty trader, has become Mercury International’s biggest lottery winner after securing an incredible Nle 390,000 (Three Hundred and Ninety Thousand Leones) from the popular lottery draw. Mansaray’s unexpected win has left him in disbelief, marking a life-changing moment for the youthful businessman.
Mansaray, based in Freetown, placed a modest bet of Nle 20 on Mercury International’s Lotto Draw Early Eye 111 on Monday, September 30th. He played the numbers 17, 59, and 33, which matched the winning numbers (30, 80, 86, 33, 17, 59, E60, 16), earning him an astounding total of Nle 300,000 (Three Hundred Thousand Leones) on the Nap 4+ product.
In addition to his Lotto draw success, Mansaray also secured an extra Nle 90,000 (Ninety Thousand Leones) through Mercury International’s Daily Product. The extra winnings were a result of his chosen numbers falling within the first and last five balls of the draw.
Speaking about his win before receiving his prize cheque, Mansaray shared his astonishment, stating, “I feel relieved to win such an amount. I was never expecting this, but I always knew Mercury International’s games were real. That’s why I kept playing, and today, it’s become a reality.”
Mansaray, who has been a regular participant in Mercury International’s sports betting and lottery products since 2007, explained that he had never held such a large sum of money in his life. “This is the biggest win I’ve ever had, and I have many plans for it, including investing in my business,” he said, still grappling with the shock of his victory.
Noel Horton, the Lottery Department Manager at Mercury International, congratulated Mansaray on his success and urged others to continue playing. “Mohamed’s win shows that Mercury International’s games are not only real but can also turn dreams into reality. We encourage our customers to keep playing and believing in their chances,” Horton said.
Mansaray’s triumph follows another significant win earlier this year by Sorie, a businessman who frequently travels to the provinces. Sorie placed a Nle 50 bet on the Daru Draw and won a six-figure amount of Nle 127,658 (One Hundred and Twenty-Seven Thousand Six Hundred and Fifty-Eight Leones). He also placed an additional Nle 20 bet on the same numbers in the super draw, securing an extra Nle 85,153 (Eighty-Five Thousand One Hundred and Fifty-Three Leones), bringing his total winnings to Nle 212,810 (Two Hundred and Twelve Thousand Eight Hundred and Ten Leones).
Mansaray’s extraordinary win is a reminder of the life-changing opportunities offered by Mercury International’s lottery draws. As more Sierra Leoneans take their chances, the possibility of transforming lives through the lottery remains ever-present, offering hope and financial empowerment to its players.
