His Excellency Rtd Brigadier Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Fatima Bio joined the congregation of Cathedral of the Holy Cross to worship. As a fervent catholic, President Bio exhorted the congregation to thank God for His divine favour of sparing them even in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic.
Among Presidentt Bio’s delegation were Chief Minister Jacob J. Saffa, Education Minister Dr. David Sengeh, Minister of Agriculture Abu- Bakarr Karin , Ambassador Sidique Wai, Ambassador Fanday Turay, Deputy Ambassador Sheku Meisali, Deputy Ambassador Victoria Sulemanie, Consul General George Hamilton, Consul Mohamed Barrie, Head of Chancery Rakie Macarthy, Desmond Pessima, Chairman of SLPPNA and the Sierra Leone community in Boston, Massachusetts.
While addressing the congregation, President Bio with humility reminded all that he is just an ordinary man, and that he knows there is sin in Humanity. Thanking God for the favour of being President, His Excellency expressed gratitude to the clergy for the warm generosity of welcoming him and his delegation to worship.
