The Registrar General, Madam Elizabeth Saptieu Saccoh has on Friday 4th November 2022, at the prestigious Family Kingdom, Aberdeen in Freetown has clinched the national meritorious award for transforming the Office of the Administrator and Registrar General.
The award ceremony was organized by the Youth Empowerment and Development Association Sierra Leone (YEDA-SL) on the theme: “Education Cannot Hold on Sexual Reproductive Health Right”.
In an exclusive interviewed with this medium, at her office on Walpole Street in Freetown, Madam Elizabeth Saptieu Saccoh said that she has been fired to do more. She expressed by thanking her staff and management for supporting her work in attracting the recognition. She further dedicated the award to her staff.
In a similar vein, Madam Elizabeth Saptieu Saccoh also received on behalf of her institution for an ‘Outstanding Performance’ in support of the business community of Sierra Leone. She said that the awards really came as a surprise to her, adding by thanking the Almighty God for seeing them throughout.
She continued that as a woman she has also been doing a lot in the area of empowering and promoting young girls in Sierra Leone by supporting their education. After her appointment to head the Office of the Administrator and Registrar General in 2018, she informed this medium that she discovered that there is need to give a facelift to the office nationwide. Madam Elizabeth Saptieu Saccoh, alleged that she inherited an institution which she described as impotent, adding that, but as a female game changer she has changed the narratives of the Office of the Administrator and Registrar General.
“Today, the Office of the Administrator and Registrar General is one of the enviable institutions of the country,” she concluded.
