Seventeen Years Old Teenager Flee Forceful Poro Secret Society

News reaching this medium was reliably informed that in Waterloo suburb Western rural district, some poro secret society members have mounted a round the clock search for Mohamed Zafa Bah a seventeen years old teenager who flee Forceful Poro initiations, now declared fugitive.

Mohamed Zafa Bah is accused of refusing to comply with the tradition of the community, which dictates that every young boy above eighteen or close to eighteen years old must be initiated into the male Poro Secret Society cult and adhere to the oath of secrecy and that if you are the heir to the chieftaincy throne as Mohamed Zafa Bah was not an exception, and you should join the secret society and inherit the throne of the age of 25 of which every parents in the community is expected to comply, as deviating from it’s is tantamount to disobedience to the gods of the land in Waterloo and is seen as sacrilege.

According to a reliable and trustworthy source, the secret society is hell bent on initiating Mohamed Zafa Bah, because he came from the ruling family or chieftaincy home which makes him eligible to be part of the traditional Poro Secret Society cult.

It was further also revealed that Mohamed Zafa Bah has almost reached the age to be initiated, therefore he is expected to voluntarily report to the Poro society elders for the due ceremony. But certainly, Mohamed Zafa Bah is not interested to join the Poro Secret Society cult because it’s not morally decent and unethical for the health and the Muslim religion which led him not to cooperate with the process and he sees it as ungodly and an act of evil.

The mentality and ideology of Mohamed Zafa Bah about the secret Poro cult society doesn’t go down well with the elders as they brand it to be disrespectful, disgrace and is unacceptable as a member of a ruling house.

As he became eligible for initiations as he is currently based in a foreign land and he is afraid to return home, as it became apparent that the society is poised to abduct him and forcefully initiate him, since he had shown unwellingnes to join the secret society and inherit the throne.

The members of the society had raided the family home of Mohamed Zafa Bah on several occasions, and are currently offering a handsome reward, for any information leading to his location whenever he visits Sierra Leone.

As senior members of the society group intimated to this medium, on condition of anonymity, that the Poro fugitive Mohamed Zafa Bah refused to come home after information was leaked that 8 boys nearly died that same months before completion of the ceremonial rite.

According to sources close to the Poro hierarchy, the penalty of betrayal refusing to comply with the tradition of the community is death through unconventional means that leave no room for police investigation.

It should be noted that despite the fact that some people can be forced, apparently there are also many others young men who are initiated willingly because they want to live peacefully in a conducive atmosphere where they don’t have to hide or abandon their villages or home due to secret society activities. Meanwhile any persons whose name is on the list to be enrolled into the society cannot have any options but to accept or abandon the village or town for a life time.
