Sierra Leone Appoints New Ambassador to Guinea

The Government of Sierra Leone, through the Office of the President, has officially announced the appointment of Ambassador Mohammed Foday Yumkella as the new Ambassador to Conakry, Guinea.

This appointment was made by His Excellency, Brig. (Rtd) Dr. Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone. The announcement reflects Sierra Leone’s continued commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties and fostering bilateral relations with neighboring Guinea.

The appointment was confirmed in an official notice signed by Emmanuel A.R. Gaima, PhD, Secretary to the President, from State House, Freetown, dated 24th February 2025.

Ambassador Mohammed Foday Yumkella is expected to bring his wealth of experience and expertise to his new role, enhancing cooperation and collaboration between Sierra Leone and Guinea.
