Personnel from the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces and the Sierra Leone Police will undergo a ten-week training course in the United Arab Emirates as part of ongoing cooperation between the two countries.
The training will be conducted in batches and will feature courses on various aspects of security and capacity building in the security sector.
According to Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Rashid Sesay, “the training will help to strengthen the capacity of serving personnel as well as equip them with new skills.” The Ambassador also commended the UAE authorities for providing the technical assistance.
