A member of the Sierra Leone Football Association Executive Committee who also doubles as the chairperson of female football in Sierra Leone, Haja Ramatulai Kamara, has on September 11, 2021, supported players of Sierra Leone’s Female Under -20 team with petty cash amounting to two million two hundred thousands leones.
This development happened hours after the team safely arrived in Bo on Friday, September 10, 2021, for eleven days camping.
Th team is in capital preparation ahead of their match against Guinea in the coming FIFA’s Women World Cup Qualifiers later this month.
According to Haja Ramatulai Kamara, her support was to help keep the girls in focus as they prepare.
She said the money would be used to attend to petty issues arising from them during their camping.
Committing herself to the girls, she advised them to pay rapt attention to the directives of their coaches.
“You should understand that you are preparing for an international tournament, so giving it your all must be your top priority now. The hopes of millions of Sierra Leoneans hinge on you, and getting it right at this time means you have got it right for all. Therefore, whatever the challenges and concerns are, suppress them and work harder, let’s win for all,” she admonished them.
Haja Ramatulai Kamara assured the team of having SLFA’s unfligning support always.
In another development, the players had also witnessed the match that played between East End Tigers and Bo Rangers on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the Bo Mini Stadium.
Team Manager, Musu Pele Bangura, said the essence of her team witnessing the match was to solicit them an insight of how their roles are being played by others who have been enjoying professional training from other experienced coaches.
She disclosed it’s one of many activities they would involve in during their stay in Bo.
