University Court Sits to Deliberate on Reports of Irregularities at the USL
In a landmark move to strengthen university governance, the University of Sierra Leone (USL) Court is set to convene tomorrow, Thursday 3rd April 2025, to deliberate on the findings of a sub-committee report probing widespread irregularities within the institution.
The report submitted to the Chancellor and University Court on 20 January 2025 is said to have four areas of focus: Personnel, Administration, Financial Management and Procurement Policies. In response to this report, the USL Court established sub-committees to examine the various thematic reports.
The Court’s sitting tomorrow is widely viewed as a pivotal step toward restoring public confidence in the university’s leadership and signals a renewed commitment to upholding integrity and good governance across the country’s higher education system.
